SOWER’S SEVENS IN GENESIS

There are Sower’s Sevens in Genesis, the ages of the ten patriarchs (5:3-32, 9:28)

What are Sower’s Sevens?

Sower’s Sevens are a biblical “70 x 7” factor hidden in a document.  With application of the Sower’s parables numbers (100-60-30 and 30-60-100) to a number set in the document, using simple arithmetic, the embedded sevens emerge.

What are the odds?

On this blog, I now have 41 examples of Sower’s Sevens in various texts.  What are the odds of getting a “70 x 7” as a factor?  The odds are 1 in 490, but since I add a factor of 10 in the process of doing the arithmetic, the odds are 1 in 49.  What are the odds of getting a “70 x 7” in 41 examples?  The odds are 1 in 49^41 (one in 49 to the 41st power) – astronomical.

Where to find 70 x 7 and 30-60-100 in the Bible:

Seven is a favored number in the Bible. The biblical “70 x 7” is found printed (not hidden) in Matthew 18:22 (footnote NRSV) and also in Genesis 4:24.  By the way, I believe that means seventy times sevenfold (DRA), not 77 times.

The Sower’s Parables numbers can be found at: (1) Matthew 13:8 (100, 60, 30); (2) Matthew 13:23 (100, 60, 30); (3) Mark 4:8 (30, 60, 100); (4) Mark 4:20 (30, 60, 100); and (5) Luke 8:8 (100).

Solution:

I have been waiting something like 50 years to find a solution to ages of the ten patriarchs.

Step-by step

The universe of values is the ages at which the patriarchs died.  The trick is to eliminate Enoch who did not die but was taken.  Thus there are 9 values.  Arrange in three equal subsets in the order in the text as follows:

Subset 1

Adam 930, Seth 912, Enosh 905

Sum = 2,747

Subset 2

Kenan 910, Mahalalel 895, Jared 962

Sum = 2,767

Subset 3

Methuselah 969, Lamech 777, Noah 950

Sum = 2,696

Next multiply by the Sower’s parables numbers 30 – 60 – 100 or 100 – 60 – 30.  The trick here is to change the order.  I don’t know if this is permitted as I have not done this before successfully, but it works here.

30 x 2,747 = 82,410

100 x 2,767 = 276,700

60 x 2,696 = 161,760

Sum of products = 520,870 = 70 x 7 x 1,063

Thus a hidden 70 x 7 is revealed.

It is interesting that the sum of all the numbers for the ten patriarchs, that is, the age at the birth of the first son, the number of years after that, and the total age for each, sums to 17,150, a number that contains a seven-cubed.  The factors are 70 x 7 x 7 x 5.

Here are the numbers in the order in which they appear in the text.  The trick is to do the math and find the missing value for Noah (950 – 500 = 450).

130 + 800 + 930 +

105 + 807 + 912 +

90 + 815 + 905 +

70 + 840 + 910 +

65 + 830 + 895 +

162 + 800 + 962 +

65 + 300 + 365 +

187 + 782 + 969 +

182 + 595 + 777 +

500 + [450] + 950 = 17,150 = 70 x 7 x 7 x 5
